Service

A website and its search strategy, planned together.

Most websites are built first and optimised afterwards, which means the structure has to be fixed later. I plan the two together.

Who it’s for

Building new, or rebuilding.

You’re about to build a site, or replace one that never performed, and you want the right people to find it.

Search isn’t a feature you add at the end. Which pages exist, what they’re called, how they link and how fast they load are all decided when the site is designed. Doing that thinking first is cheaper, and it tends to work better, than patching it afterwards.

What’s included

What planning them together looks like

  1. Keyword and intent research

What people actually search for, and what they're hoping to find, so the site is organised around real demand rather than guesswork.

  2. Site architecture and URL plan

Which pages need to exist, what each one is for, how they link together and what the URLs should be.

  3. Content plan

What each page needs to say, in what order, and which supporting content is worth writing.

  4. A build with technical SEO in place

Titles, headings, structured data, speed, mobile usability and crawlability handled as part of the build, not afterwards.

  5. Measurement before launch

Search Console and basic tracking set up so there's a baseline to compare against.

  6. Launch checks

Redirects from any old URLs, sitemap, robots rules and indexing checked on the live site.

How it works

How it fits together

  1. Research

Search demand, the competitive landscape and your goals, summarised plainly.

  2. Architecture

The page and URL structure, agreed before design starts.

  3. Design and build

The site is designed and built to that structure, with on-page SEO written in.

  4. Launch

    Live checks, indexing and redirects.

  5. Measure

Search Console and enquiries reviewed, with a short list of what to improve next.

Questions

Straight answers

Can you guarantee a Google ranking?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Rankings depend on many factors outside anyone’s control. What I can do is give the site a sound structure and technical foundation, content that matches what people search for, and a way to measure what happens.

How long until it ranks?

There’s no honest fixed answer. It depends on how competitive the searches are, how established the domain is and what the site offers. I’ll tell you what I’d expect to be realistic after the research phase.

Can you do this on an existing site?

Yes. That’s covered under SEO, which starts with a review of what’s there.

A short message is enough to start. I’ll reply with an honest view of whether and how I can help.
